Getting Started
Introduction
Get up and running with Stalar
Get Stalar running and connected to your infrastructure.
Prerequisites
- A Stalar API key (sign up at stalar.dev)
- Docker for deployment
- Access to your infrastructure tools (Prometheus, Kubernetes, etc.)
Quick Start
1. Get your API key
Sign up at stalar.dev to get your API key.
2. Run Stalar
docker run -d \
-p 3000:3000 \
-e AUTH_SECRET=$(openssl rand -base64 32) \
-e STALAR_API_KEY=sk_xxxxx \
-v stalar_data:/app/data \
ghcr.io/stalardev/stalar:latest3. Configure integrations
Open http://localhost:3000 and add your integrations:
- Connect to your Prometheus server
- Add your Kubernetes cluster
- Configure Loki for log access
- Add other tools as needed
4. Start investigating
Ask questions like:
- "Why is the API slow?"
- "What errors happened in the last hour?"
- "Show me pods with high restart counts"
Default Admin User
On first boot, Stalar creates a default admin account:
- Email:
[email protected] - Password: Set via
STALAR_ADMIN_PASSWORDenv var, orchangemeif not set
⚠️ For production, always set STALAR_ADMIN_PASSWORD before first boot.
Config-managed integrations (from stalar.yaml) are owned by this admin user. Log in as admin to use them, or create your own integrations via the UI.
